Mounting ISO files virtually

Hard drives are about 10 times faster than a CD, plus I can instantly access the file instead of grabbing the CD case, inserting the CD and awaiting for the contents to load, moreover sometimes I need to test iso images before burning them, I always used Daemon Tools but I got some blue screen and memory corruption problems.

Today I found Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel for Windows XP, an unsupported tool from MS that will allow you to create drives from CD ISO disk images.

This tool is even not searchable through the Microsoft Download Center but it is mentioned on the MSDN Subscribers FAQ
